About This Subject Guide

Welcome to the Curriculum Materials Library Department (CML) subject guide. CML is located in the north east corner of the second floor of Moffett Library.

CML has educational materials for use with children and young adults from preschool to grade twelve. The focus of materials is for grades Kindergarten through grade 8.

Priority is given to materials for Education majors and to prepare students for Teacher Certification.

Anyone who has an interest in teaching, learning, and educational materials may use this collection.

CML Collection

The Curriculum Materials Library collection includes:

JUVENILE LITERATURE - fiction and non-fiction books intended for students from preschool age through 12th grade. The collection includes the annual award books (Newbery, Caldecott, and Texas Bluebonnet) and titles which are highly recommended for use with children and adolescents. Some materials appropriate for high school students may be classified within the library's general book collection.

CURRICULUM KITS - a representative sample of kits currently in use by Region IX Education Center, or added to CML as representative of current trends in education.
