Q: What are Library Workshops?

Moffett Library Workshops are individual sessions that are provided as a means for students to become more familiar with topics connected to research and using library resources.

Q: How do I sign up for a workshop?

There’s no need for you to sign up! Simply follow any Zoom links attached to our workshops or come by the locations mentioned. If you’d like us to inform a professor of your attendance, let us know afterward and we will let them know.

Q: Is there a limited amount of space in the workshops?

In-person workshops have enough space for 30-50 people, depending on location. Space is unlimited for online workshops.

Q: What happens if I miss a workshop I wanted to attend?

For any online workshop, we will have a recording available in the near future. Stay tuned to our social media accounts for more information. We regularly cycle our workshops, so if there’s one in-person you missed, be on the lookout for a repeat.

Q: Which topics are taught?

Previous workshops have covered General Library Services, Essay Formatting & Citations, and Plagiarism. If you have a suggestion for a future workshop, please email library@msutexas.edu.

Q: Where do the workshops occur?

Workshops are presented both in person and online. In-person workshops are usually presented at Moffett Library in the Atrium or the second floor computer lab.
