1. To begin your search for Special Collection items, go to the library's online catalog.
2. Enter your search terms in the search box at the top of the page. For this example, we are searching for Nathaniel Hawthorne's House of the Seven Gables.
3. To narrow your search results, click on the box next to "Print Book" in the "Format" column on the left.
4. The results are now filtered to items located in Special Collections. Hint: Be sure to check the date of publication when reviewing the results page to ensure you have the correct edition of the item.
5. After you click on an item from the search results page, a new page will appear providing further details of the item and where to locate the item.
